Nicolas Chambon will succeed his father in 2022
According to our information, Nicolas Chambon, current president of Socri REIM, will take the reins of the family group Socri in 2022. He will succeed his father, Henri Chambon (83 years old), founding president of the company specialized in real estate. “In accordance with Socri Promotions’ bylaws, in two years I will assume, serene and vigilant, the presidency of the family group according to the highest standards of governance and transparency,” Nicolas Chambon confides to Business Immo. “I have always worked and will always work in the service of the common interests of our family holding company’s shareholders with a concern for equity and the enhancement of our assets and activities. As always, I will stay out of any controversy.”
By 2022, he specifies that he will “fully” devote his energy to his company, “alongside my teams to the many development projects of Socri Limited and Socri REIM in Monaco, Miami, Montpellier, Nantes, Béziers and more recently Nîmes.”
Furthermore, Henri Chambon has just handed over the reins of the operational holding company, Socri Immo, to his daughter Célia Chambon – until then general manager of the group’s hotel division. An announcement that surprised internally: this appointment, which occurred last March, was only officially announced on July 28. “The legal framework and methods raise questions about this communication and reorganization operation of the Socri Promotions group,” says Nicolas Chambon. “However, I wish every success to my sister, Célia Chambon, until now manager of the group’s hotel division,” he continues. “We hope that her new operational functions within a sub-holding of the group will be established in a calm atmosphere between family shareholders and will ensure financial stability and transitional governance at Socri Promotions alongside our father, at least until the statutory age limit of Socri Promotions at the end of 2021.”
As a reminder, Henri Chambon’s children – Nicolas, Célia, Marie, Damien and Emma – together and in equal shares hold all the bare ownership shares of Socri Promotions’ capital.
