Polygone Béziers and La Coupole: Towards responsible and sustainable energy management

Polygone Béziers: Concrete actions for exemplary resource management

Eco-mobility: Encouraging soft mobility
The Polygone Béziers shopping center is strengthening its action in favor of sustainable mobility. From the first quarter of 2025, eight new 22 kW electric charging stations will be added to the three already existing, bringing the total number to eleven. This development responds to the growing demand from electric vehicle drivers and complements the existing offer, which also includes a bicycle parking area. These facilities reflect a clear ambition: to encourage more environmentally friendly modes of transport and help reduce the carbon footprint.

Optimization of energy and water consumption
Polygone Béziers has made notable progress in resource management. Between 2014 and 2024, electricity and gas consumption in common areas and parking lots decreased by 43%. More recently, in 2023, an additional reduction of 14% compared to the previous year was recorded. These results demonstrate continuous optimization of infrastructure. Water consumption has been significantly reduced through targeted improvements, such as bathroom renovations and the installation of connected equipment. These efforts have reduced water usage by 25% compared to 2023. This illustrates how the integration of cutting-edge technologies can sustainably transform resource management.

Green energy production: Towards self-consumption
Continuing its ecological commitment, Polygone Béziers will implement a self-consumption system through the installation of photovoltaic panels. From the first quarter of 2025, 460 solar panels will be operational, with an estimated annual production of 197 MWh. This renewable energy will cover approximately 22% of the electrical needs of common areas, marking an important step towards a successful energy transition.

La Coupole: A successful energy transition since the acquisition in 2021
Since its acquisition in 2021, the La Coupole shopping center has invested in improvement works aimed at reducing its energy consumption. The results speak for themselves. In 2023, a decrease of 10% compared to the previous year was observed. Since 2021, the year of acquisition, consumption has dropped by 34%. These results highlight an energy efficiency strategy supported by concrete initiatives and wise resource management.
